Q & A

  1. Do I need to be certified in breathwork?

    While certified breathwork practioners are preferred, if you have 5+ years in one of the following healing modalities: yoga | meditation | reiki | massage therapy | pilates - we would love to have you helping us hold space.

  2. How does the app work?

    RE:FINE is like Uber, but for breathwork. A user accesses a practioner (who is refered to as a RE:FINER), on demand through the app instantaneously. If the RE:FINER of choice is not available, the user will be connected to the next one who is.

  3. How long does the call last?

    There is a minimum of 3-minutes required and users can request a practioner as long as they would like as agreed upon by user and practioner.

  4. Do I get paid for my service on the app?

    Practioners on the app during the duration of the pilot (not intended to extend 90-days but could change) will not be paid. This position is sweat equity - you are doing it because you want to be at the forefront of a really cool application + you want to serve more people. Note, the first 100 practioners will get a small amount of equity in the company once it is public. NOW is time to be throwing your weight behind the project!

  5. What type of breathwork modality will be provided on the platform?

    Given all of the beautiful breathwork options, we have a group of curiculum writers who will be creating a loose script to be used during the calls so that the experience is unified when a user calls in. There will be some wiggle room so practioners can authenticate themselves, but it will be largely scripted given the needs of the user.

  6. How do we know what the user needs?

    The motivation for a 3-minute minimum includes introductions between user and practioner, but also so you can assess the users state and what practice will be most beneficial. During onboarding into the app, a user will complete a short survey providing their primary reasons for use.

  7. Are there other ways I can support RE:FINE?

    Yes! We need hands + minds for a bunch of things: social media, marketing, partnerships, grant writing, fundraising…to name a few. If you are talented in any of these areas, please let us know. We will take all the help we can get.
